What is Composite?
Traditional singular material doors such as timber and PVC-U suffer from common flaws. Using a combination of materials which have been selected for their beneficial properties, composite doors allow for the old flaws to be effectively ‘designed out’.
It is the high-density core of a composite door that gives the door its notable strength and they are generally considered impossible to break into.
The standard thickness for a Composite door slab is 44mm, almost twice the thickness of a UPVC panel. Many customer surveys have indicated that after replacing a UPVC front door with a Composite there were notable reductions in heat loss and noise from outside was greatly reduced.
