Roofline Fascias and Soffits
As can be seen from the diagram, the soffit is the horizontal underside of the eaves, where the roof joins the building. The fascia board is the long, straight board that runs along the lower edge of the roof. The fascia is fixed directly to the lower ends of the roof trusses and usually does all the work of supporting the lower edge of the bottom row of tiles. The fascia board also carries all the guttering. Fascias on gable ends are often referred to as barge boarding.
Exposed to all weathers and susceptible to hazards such as blocked gutters, broken fascias and rot, your roofline is the most vulnerable part of your home. At Goldcrest Installation & Repair, we understand the importance of quality craftmanship and products when it comes to a building’s roofline. We don’t work with cheap inferior products that will provide you with problems further down the line. All our products are BBA & BSI approved, environmentally friendly, lead & tin free, guaranteed and never discolour!
Although PVC-U is extremely popular, we have many clients who require roofline solutions in keeping with the area or building itself. Treated cedar wood cladding, fascias, soffits and cast-iron guttering are ideal solutions for listed buildings and homes within National parks.
